I have been blessed by two working eyes and two perfect ears. Today’s message in church was Mark 10:46-52Jesus healed blind Bartimaeus, but before he did, he asked the beggar, “What do you want me to do for you?”

I say a lot of prayers, but what is my biggest problem today? If Jesus was passing me by today, what would I ask of him?

I want to see you everyday.

My problem is that the devil keeps putting blinders on me. He is putting obstacles in my path, preventing me from seeing the good things. Instead I keep looking at the problems. The enemy is whispering lies in my ear, preventing me from hearing the truth. He is tempting me with fattening foods, preventing me from being satisfied with His goodness. He is reminding me of my lack, so I cannot see what I have.

When I am focused on my lack, I start begging. I have become just a blind beggar girl asking for all the things I don’t have.

So, if Jesus were here what would I ask for? What do I want the most?

I fell asleep asking this question and when I woke up, I asked God for the answer. I asked Him what I should write.

Then I wrote a letter to my future husband on our wedding day. I sealed the envelope and hid it away. It was a huge relief. Now I can let go of all the worry, the stress, the anxiety. I can feel patient knowing that God will answer that prayer, it is only a matter of time.

Now I get to look for God everyday. I get to wait in anxious anticipation for His perfect timing. This was a very good day.

Thank you, God that my eyes are healed because of my faith. Thank you that I can see you now. Thank you for my future husband. Thank you for preparing me to be  his wife. In Jesus’ name, Amen
